Your first session
Your first session will include an additional 15 minute in-person intake, which allows us to thoroughly go through your health history, understand your goals and expectations and work together on a treatment plan.
I will also move you through a movement assessment, to observe such things as range-of-motion, simple movement patterns and flexibility, to set a baseline for all future sessions. This helps us note changes and improvements, as we progress through your treatment plan.

We will begin with specific movement assessments to help see your current range-of-motion and your present patterns. This is time for us to discuss limitations you have in your everyday movement or your exercise regime.
Often I will send you home with movement homework that helps reinforce our work that day.
What to wear for movement coaching
Each session will begin with movement. Wear whatever you feel comfortable moving in, similar to what you would wear to an exercise class, a walk or run.
You are also welcome to come a bit earlier and change into those clothes in the bathroom outside my office.
